What if my sump pump and/or roof drains are tied into the sanitary sewer?
It is illegal to tie a sump pump or roof drain into the sanitary sewer. Your sump pump and roof drains should be disconnected from the sanitary sewer and relocated to drain into your yard, a nearby storm sewer, or a drain tile.
