A. If a student is currently not receiving a Pell Grant, financial aid advisors are encouraged to estimate the student’s financial aid award that the student may receive during his/her study abroad term. You may base this estimation on the student’s previous academic year’s financial aid award. Financial aid advisors should then indicate the discrepancy in the “Further Comments” box under the “Advisor Approval” section of the certification page. Additionally, please contact the Gilman Scholarship Program to notify us once the final award has been confirmed.
