What if my rent payment is denied? Does Tenantplus act as a collection agency?
Tenantplus is only a facilitator of electronic transactions between parties by providing an alternative to traditional rent payment. The collection of rents and related payments are the legal responsibility of the Property Owner/Property Management Company. Tenantplus does not act as a collection agency. If the payment you try to process has insufficient funds, Tenantplus will collect and retain the charges it incurred while attempting to process an unsuccessful payment. You, the Tenant, are responsible for paying any other fees assessed to their account by you, the property management company; the Automated Clearing House System or their own bank for attempting to process a payment with insufficient funds.
