There is an alternative. You can have boreholes dug which need to be about 100 metres deep. If the ground is not rocky but just hard you can dig longer, wider and shallower trenches, as long as they are at least 1.2 metres deep. The ground loop coils will need to be laid horizontally in a different configuration and you would be advised to ask your suppliers advice.
