What if my package bundles FreeSans, Linux Libertine, Droid or Liberation fonts?

Those are all general-purpose fonts. Replacing them with symlinks to the corresponding DejaVu (full) packages is usually the best solution, as the DejaVu (full) packages are our default general-purpose font set. Nevertheless, do check with upstream if it had a specific reason to bundle those particular fonts (other than using the first general-purpose fonts on hand).
