What if my MMREF-1 or EFW2 submission was rejected by the Social Security Administration (SSA) but accepted by the Tax Commission?
Do not re-submit accepted data to the Tax Commission unless you are correcting the data. Changes to W-2 forms already accepted must be submitted in MMREF-2 format (tax years 2005-2006) or EFW2C (tax years 2007 and later). Submitting accepted data in the MMREF-1 or EFW2 format again will duplicate your data and overstatement your withholding tax liability.
