Although it would be an ideal scenario if your mentee did secure a job with your organisation, if your mentee has been unsuccessful at any stage of the recruitment process, you are in the perfect position to provide them with feedback and look at where they went wrong. Succeeding at interviews and assessment centres is challenging: as a mentor you can help your mentee to work on techniques to help them succeed. You could set up mock interviews, look at transferable skills, and suggest areas where they could develop and improve.
