What if my item sells and the buyer doesnt pay?
This can happen but it is rare on eBay because the non-paying buyer will receive a strike against his user account. If the buyer receives a certain amount of strikes in a given period of time, he will be permanently suspended from buying and selling on eBay. eBay is very understanding on this and provides a system where we can file against the non-paying bidder and receive a refund of our listing and sales fees and they then duke it out with the deadbeat. This means nothing to you, our client, other than that your item will be re-listed for free and another bidder will hopefully buy it.
