What if Im already on a cholesterol reducing medication – can I take Optichol?
There is nothing in this product that should be contraindicated with any of those products that your physician may have you taking. Plant sterols (like those contained in OPTICHOL) are recommended by the American Heart Association and the National Cholesterol Education Program Expert Panel as adjunct therapy to reduce low-density lipoprotein. Plant sterol esters have been shown to have an additive effect when combined with cholesterol lowering medications with no adverse interactions. However, always consult with your physician.
