What if I want to use my privately owned vehicle to travel on state business; do the same criteria apply?
Yes in addition you should be prepared to certify and/or provide a copy of: • Adequate liability insurance with specific coverage amounts (see Form 261 Authorization To Use Privately Owned-Vehicle On State Business) • The vehicle is adequate for the travel requirements • The vehicle is equipped with seat belts in operating condition • The vehicle is in safe mechanical condition as required by law
