You will need to apply to have a category added or removed from your licence. You should call the firearms registry on 1300 362 562 or alternatively email the Firearms Registry Licensing Unit at frlicensing@police.gov.au to obtain application forms. You will need to provide your licence details and a pre-printed application form will be posted out to you on the following day. It will incur a cost of $75 to have a category added or removed from your licence, as this requires a new licence to be produced. NOTE: Your updated licence will retain the same expiry date as your current licence.
