What if I wait to see if a grade will improve before deciding to register for summer school?
If you are not sure about registering for Summer School, it is better to apply and get enrolled in the class you think you may need to repeat. If you end up getting a poor grade, you are set to attend the class and have helped boost class enrollment so we can hire a teacher/offer the class. If you end up getting a good grade, you need only email the Summer School Office to tell us to withdraw your application; a Wait List student will likely be able to step into your spot! Applicants who wait for their 2nd Semester grade, then find they need to attend Summer School: come to Late Registration on Wednesday, July 8, at Miramonte High School. Bring a completed application, signed off by your Counselor, plus a copy of your 2nd Semester Report card; we will do our best to place you into any vacancies left by “No Shows” on the first day of Session II that following Monday.
