What If I run into problems while text messaging or receive error messages?
Please try the following troubleshooting steps: • Verify the sent information from your text message. Example: Make sure the phone number only contains the area code and 7 digit phone number. Do not put a 1 in front of the number or if using an e-mail address, make sure the e-mail is entered correctly. If this does not correct the issue, please move to step #2. • Verify you are not in a roaming area. When attempting to send a text message while out of a coverage area (roaming), you will receive a “failed message” notice. The text message will not be sent and will not be stored in the phone unless you select to save a draft of the message. • Power cycle your handset. Turn your phone off and remove the battery from the back of the handset. Leave the battery out for approximately 60 seconds and wipe off the battery contacts with a dust-free cloth. Put the battery back into the device and turn on the phone.
