If you put your bags and/or bins out on the street for collection outside the specified times and days of the week, your waste will not be collected. Waste left out will be investigated by Street Scene Enforcement and you may receive an £80 fixed penalty notice or prosecution leading to a fine of up to £2,500. To avoid this you will need to keep your rubbish inside/on your premises until the next specified times and days for putting out waste. More serious cases of fly-tipping of controlled waste other than domestic household waste, can lead to a fine of up to £5000 or an unlimited fine if tried in the crown court. I have a bin and I store it on the street as there is no room on my property. Why do I have to take it to the edge of the pavement at the specified times and days to be emptied?
