Of course, you would also need to be registered as a Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) if you intend to perform work covered by the program. Please be aware that beginning July 1, 2008, candidates for the Unrestricted and Restricted license categories (as well as masonry and Specialty License categories) will be required to more rigorously define their qualifications in order to sit for the license exam.
