What if I need to get in touch with my child during the UniTaster?

Contact details for key members of staff on the UniTaster will be made available to you. If there is anything you want to discuss about your child, particularly if this is of a confidential nature, please feel free to contact the co-ordinator for your child’s UniTaster direct. Many young people bring their mobile phones (note that students are responsible for their own property and the universities can’t accept liability for the loss of or damage to mobiles). However, we do suggest that contact is made only if really necessary, such as in an emergency, so that the young people can really focus on the activities they are involved in. It’s worth noting that mobile phone reception in some parts of the South West can be patchy. However, messages can be left with the UniTaster office at your child’s summer school and will always be passed on. Contact names and phone numbers for each university are in the UniTasters magazine.
