You may request a specific IP name in advance of a connection happening by entering “DNS: [name].[subdomain].harvard.edu” in the comment field of a new connection request (fill in the name and subdomain). For anything that will not fit in the comment field, please send email to netmanager@fas.harvard.edu. Requests for specific IP addresses cannot be honored. Requests for new subdomains must be approved by the Manager of FAS Network Operations via email request (netmanager@fas.harvard.edu). Special Notes: Comments are reviewed only on brand-new connection requests. Send email if you want to alter an already-assigned IP name or add an alias (CNAME) or mail transfer (MX). How can I discuss special network traffic or bandwidth needs for my department ? FAS Network Operations will assist Network Contacts in evaluating special network traffic or bandwidth needs. Send email to netmanager@fas.harvard.edu with details on proposed changes, and/or to make an appointment to speak with the manager
