WorkRoll will work with almost any JSP-capable application server, since it does not rely on any non-standard Java classes or even standard extensions or “J2EE packages.” However, if WorkRoll does not run on your application server, several JSP-capable application servers are free and available on the web, and are easy to install. Apache Tomcat is one of these. Also, if you are a Windows user, the Windows installer program automatically installs an application server for you.
