What if I mix baking soda and white vinegar?
Your counter is fine: It just has little bits of baking soda on it where the boiling over occurred. Just wipe it down with a damp cloth. The vinegar and baking soda combination is good for unclogging drainage pipes- But you would be better off using vinegar alone to clean your counters, unless you have something sticky and stubborn on it like syrup: Then add the baking soda.
