What if I included an appliance (or other chattel) in the offer to purchase but the seller removed it or changed it for an older model?
The seller cannot do this; however, you will need proof that this has happened. Contact your salesperson and branch manager about the situation and hopefully, they will contact the seller and resolve the situation. You should also immediately contact your lawyer as this situation is often best left to the lawyers representing the seller and buyer to settle as there may be financial consequences. There have been several such cases that have ended up in Canadian courts with the seller receiving large fines.
