What if I have insufficient funds or have closed my designated funding source at the time when a recurring monthly contribution is set to occur?
SmartyPig will attempt to withdraw the funds once. If you have insufficient funds, SmartyPig will not reattempt to withdraw the funds. The following month, your monthly contribution will draft on the day you specified. For security reasons, we may lock your funding source. If this occurs, you will need to contact SmartyPig customer service to resolve the issue. SmartyPig does not charge for NSF fees. Please note: your bank may charge you a fee if SmartyPig attempts to withdraw funds that are not in your designated funding source.
