If you are no longer covered by an HSA-eligible health plan later in the year and have contributed the maximum annual amount, you will have to withdraw some of the contribution from the account. Please note, however, that a special rule applies if you are again HSA eligible (i.e. enroll again for eligible coverage) prior to December 1st.
