Should you need urgent medical care, the closest hospital is in San Francisco (San Pancho), a short 15 minute drive north of Sayulita. The hospital is staffed 24 hours a day and has a well-equipped emergency department. In addition, Puerto Vallarta offers an excellent 24-hour medical center called Amer+Med, located in the Plaza Neptune shopping center just south of the airport.
