What if I have a KeyServer and the network goes down?

0

Every KeyServer comes with the ability to install any number of “Shadow” KeyServers on the far side of potential network troublespots such as routers, firewalls, T1 connections, and so on. When one of these “KeyShadows” loses contact with the KeyServer it silently picks up any clients who have also lost KeyServer contact. Clients are unaware of this and can continue to launch, use, and quit applications as though the KeyServer were still available. When the problem has been resolved the KeyShadow realizes this and hands the clients back to the KeyServer. This transfer, too, is invisible to the clients, who remain unaware of the break in service.
