What if I forget my University ID number and/or LibraryPIN?

You may look up your University ID number within the MyUM service. If you forget your Library PIN you can visit any Circulation Desk [with photo ID] and ask the staff to reset/delete your existing Library PIN. The PIN field is encrypted in your patron record, so library staff will not be able to tell you what it is. We will need to delete the existing PIN field in order to allow you to reset it. You may also email the Richter Circulation Desk [richter.circulation@miami.edu ] from the same email account registered in myUM. Library staff will verify your email against your patron record, then delete your library PIN and send you a follow-up email to confirm you can now reset your Library PIN. Please use the email subject line, “PIN Problem”, when contacting library staff. Click here for more information about your Library Pin.
