What if I fail to score 70% in the final examination of Professional Translation and Professional Interpreting?
If a student completes the program (either Graduate Diploma or MA) satisfactorily, i.e. scores a mark of at least 50% in each course, but fails to score 70% or above in the final examination of Professional Translation in any language direction and Professional Interpreting in the second semester, the student will be awarded the Graduate Diploma or MA without NAATI accreditation. In the final examination of interpreting, if a student scores 70% in dialogue interpreting but fails consecutive interpreting, the student will receive NAATI’s accreditation as a Paraprofessional Interpreter (formally known as Level 2).
