What if I don’t like the TAS offer of placement. Can I reject the offer and get further assistance/refund from the ESOS Fund?
A. If you reject a TAS offer of a place, which the ESOS Assurance Fund Manager considers to be a suitable alternative, you may not be eligible for any further assistance. If you reject an offer of placement from TAS because it is significantly different from your original course of study and is therefore not a suitable alternative, you may be eligible for help from the ESOS Assurance Fund. If you are in this situation, you must notify the TAS if you are declining its offer providing reasons and provide DEEWR with your details via the enquiry form. A DEEWR officer will respond to you as soon as possible. Q. What if I commence my studies at the new college provided under the TAS placement, but I don’t like the new college? Can I discontinue my studies there and get further assistance under the ESOS Act? A. No. Once you have accepted and commenced study in a suitable alternative course you are entitled to no further assistance.
