What if I do not want to participate in PensionSMART?

You can request an opt-out form by writing to the Pensions Department at pensions@imperial.ac.uk. If you choose not to participate in PensionSMART, you should complete and return the opt-out form to the Pensions Department as soon as possible. If you choose to opt out of PensionSMART you will still be able to participate in the pension scheme and make pension contributions under the usual arrangements. You will not, however, be able to take advantage of the NIC savings resulting in an increase in take home pay which is achievable through participating in PensionSMART.
