What if I am unable to pay an injured workers weekly compensation payments?
Once a claim is accepted, the legislation requires you to pay the weekly compensation payments to the injured worker as if they were still at work, on the same pay day and in the same way as you paid their wages prior to their injury or illness. If you feel that you may be unable to pay an injured worker’s weekly compensation payments in this manner, you should contact your insurer as soon as possible to discuss what options are available.
