What if I am on income support, Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance?
Even if you are on income support, job seeker’s allowance or employment support allowance you still need to complete a housing benefit and council tax benefit claim form before you can get help with your council tax or rent. The DWP will have sent you a form called an HBCTB1 to complete. If you have not completed it you need to do so now and return it to them immediately.
