What if I already have a Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor installed BEFORE the main disconnect?
Some facilities will have a TVSS installed before the main disconnect. This is usually required by the power company when the facility is initially wired. The problem with this is that usually the TVSS unit gives no indication whether or not the unit is actually working therefore the business owner doesn’t know if the unit has already failed from a previous incident. Also, this type of installation will only protect your facility from transients that occur outside of your facility, whether it is from lightning or from the power company itself. It has been proven that at least 95% of all transients occur within a facility’s own electrical system, 5% occur outside your facility. The V-Blox units will completely eliminate all transient voltage activity in your electrical system.
