What if I accept a 12 week contract offer from BOG and don’t finish my game in the 12 weeks?
A. BOG will do everything in it’s power to support the developers in keeping to the agreed upon schedule and budget. If a developer defaults on their contract, BOG retains the right to renegotiate the schedule/budget with the original developer, cancel development of the game, or finish development of the game using other resources. In any event, BOG retains publishing rights for the game as specified in the contract, with the following changes. If you have reached a predetermined number of milestones but defaulted on your contract and BOG publishes your game anyway, you will still be eligible for royalties but at half the agreed upon payout, and, your eligibility for royalties will be delayed until additional development expenses have been recouped by BOG. We don’t really want that to happen, but we also can’t afford to have projects run over budget or beyond the schedule. We are looking for dedicated teams only who want to Bang Out Games. • Q.
