What if a worker already receives paid parental leave entitlements?
Paid parental leave may be received before, after or at the same time as existing entitlements, such as employer-provided paid parental leave and annual leave. In most cases the Family Assistance Office will provide parental leave payments in installments to the employer who will then be responsible for providing paid parental leave to eligible workers. Who is responsible for providing payments under the Scheme? The paid parental leave scheme is being phased in over six months.
