What if a student who was on a team that placed at region cannot compete at state?
You are allowed to replace up to 50% of your team that won at region. If, for example, you had 4 members on the HOSA Bowl team and 2 of them cannot come, you can replace them with other students who did not compete at region. If you had a team of 3, you could only replace 1 of the members. If, on your team of 3, two of them couldn’t come, the 1 student remaining would have to pick an event that was a state only event.
