Student absences from campus during the program require approval of a written request from a parent or guardian address to the program director, Sonny Hayes. Each request much include the following details and be received at least 72-hours in advance of a student’s departure: • Where the student is going • Time and date of departure • Name of the person student is leaving campus with and their relationship to student • Method of transportation being used • Time when the student will return Visits must be scheduled after class hours; overnight outings are not permitted Sunday through Thursday. To schedule an off campus visit and receive written approval of the request, the student’s parent or guardian must submit the written request to the office through summer@usc.edu or call (213) 740-5679 to notify us that a fax has been submitted via (213) 740-06417.
