What if a Resident or Intern has a previous engagement that requires time off?
The CPS Teaching Residency and Internship are activity-rich and highly structured programs intended to provide real-life, hands-on teaching and enrichment. Participation is crucial to professional development. The CPS endorsement awarded at the end of the program is dependant on attendance and participation. Teaching Residents: While mandatory daily attendance is required, we do realize individuals may have made previous engagements prior to accepting the position. If a Teaching Resident or Intern has a previous commitment that requires him or her to miss a day or consecutive days from the program, he or she must obtain written approval by CPS Teaching and Residency Coordinator, Anne Crylen prior to the start of the program. Teaching Interns: As the Internship is only 10 days, it is imperative that Teaching Interns attend EVERY activity.
