What if a human dies, does their Gen die too?
Depending on cause of death different outcomes will occur. If a human was to die of natural causes or something beyond their control they become permenently linked to their Gen. This means those type of Gens have to be extra careful not to run into trouble in the dreamworld. They get no second chances and have no human to fall back on. If a human cannot respect themselves or their Gen and take their own life foolishly then both themself and the Gen simply die. Dreamers who purposefully try to end their life to become ‘one’ with their Gen do not get that wish, they just die. Otherwise the world would be full of people killing themselves to live in dreams instead, and that’s just plain dumb.
