What if a hoarder doesn want to clean their home?
Unfortunately, you can’t make them. It is almost impossible to force a hoarder to cleanup their home without the City or County being involved and citing the homeowner. Court battles can take months and even years once started and in the meantime, they can be removed from the house. It is much more beneficial to try to get a hoarder the mental help they need so they understand the danger involved with hoarding.
