What if a deleted item reappears?
This will happen occasionally when am item is verified by the creditor some time after it has been deleted. Changes in the Fair Credit Reporting Act make it more difficult now than it was in times past to put deleted items back on your report. For example, the law now requires the credit bureaus to inform you before they put a previously deleted item back on your report. If a deleted item is put back on your report, it can be challenged again at a future time in an effort to obtain a permanent deletion.
