Answer Hi John – Thanos is pretty much equivalent to Darkseid in the DC Universe and has enough strength to stand toe-to-toe with Superman and stand a better than even chance of coming out of the experience intact. When he possessed the Infinity Gauntlet his power was nearly limitless so, if he had that he could probably do pretty well against Nagilum, Q or a Douwd. Without it I think any one of the three would pretty easily defeat him. As powerful as he is however there are indications that the Phoenix is more powerful. Thanos (for all intents and purposes) is “just a guy” albeit a very, very powerful one. Phoenix is an integral part of the framework of the universe and, in essence, cannot die, only change. Mr. M’s supposedly able to affect reality on a large scale but, with thirteen Celestials to take on and with their vast intelligence he’d have to act pretty fast in order to get them all.
