What hours do animal trainers work?
Depends on whether you are in business for yourself or someone else. Often as an employee you are expected to give 40 hours a week with emergencies and some unpaid overtime. Working for yourself, it’s a 24/7 job. It also depends on the type of training: security, pet behavior, emergency/search and rescue, or drug/bomb sniffing dogs. All but pet behavior mean 24/7: pet varies from job to job. Also include hospital visits with pet training: you will be bitten, you will get hurt: the only question is how much.
