Kalakaua Avenue is the main street along the beach in Waikiki, it runs east to west, not north to south. There are also hotels on the far western edge of Waikiki along Ala Moana Blvd (the Hilton Hawaiian Village for instance), but the main central and eastern portions of Waikiki is along Kalakaua Avenue. The Moana Surfrider is also part of the Starwood chain, is the last hotel going east directly on the beach. Both of these hotels are historic and the first hotels in Waikiki and as you can imagine are on the best part of the beach. Both
