Homeowners insurance on the contents of your unit is required by Florida Law (FS 718.111(11). In the event of a disaster, you are responsible not only for your personal belongings, but for replacing or repairing all internal damage to your unit from the drywall inward. This includes, but is not limited to, items such as cabinets, plumbing fixtures, wall tile, etc. For your protection, please be sure you have adequate contents coverage.
