What holidays will cause my trash service or recycling service to be delayed?
The six annual holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. When one of these holidays falls on a scheduled trash pick-up day, the service will be delayed by one day following the holiday. (Example: Holiday falls on a Tuesday – Tuesday service will be on Wednesday and Wednesday service will be on Thursday.) If the holiday falls within your scheduled recycling week, your recycling will be picked up on Saturday rather than Friday. (Example – Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 31st. Recycling for the West route will be picked up on Saturday, June 5th.
