What holds the stars in the sky?
The stars are not “held” fixed in the sky, but are so far away that their movement is imperceptible. The whole of the universe is a moving, expanding, seemingly infinite array of stars, galaxies, and huge groups of galaxies, in a cosmic expanse of which Earth is only a tiny part.
