Many interesting and historic sites can be found in the Town centre including the Market House and Market Jew Street. The road from the Market House to Penzance’s harbor is Chapel Street. It is the hub of the town and without a doubt the most historic part. It has a lot of the old stately houses including the Bronte family home. Also found on this street is the Union Hotel where the first announcement of Lord Nelson’s victory at Trafalgar took place. The strange and famous Egyptian House and The Turk’s Head Inn (the oldest public house in all of Penzance) are interesting places of great historical value. There are famous bridges and old cathedrals and churches too (St. Anthony’s and St. Clares).
