The fire was reported around 6:30 a.m. Flames could be seen from across the Estes Valley and a thick acrid black and white smoke obscured a portion of downtown as fire crews from the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department, along with assisting agencies from Glen Havin, Allenspark, Loveland and Boulder fought to contain the fire to the historic mall located in the heart of the downtown.
