What helped the most in the job search?
Having a contact in the recruiting department was very helpful and made the process go very fast. In looking around for jobs during this time, I found that applying for jobs online with no contact or person to follow up with was very difficult. In total, I applied for four jobs and I only heard back regarding two of them initially. After I had already gone through the interview process and accepted the position with Hallmark, I did hear back from a third company, but that was a month and a half after I had submitted my online application. If you do not have a contact, it seems like the process takes a lot longer. Did you reach a low point in this process? When I decided to start pursuing a position with less travel and a better work/life balance for me, I really struggled initially because I did like the company I worked for and the people there.
