Two Tablespoons of ground flax seeds offers 4grams of fiber. Personally, I love the added benfits the seeds give, namely colon health. I add 2Tbps daily to a bowl of Oat Bran, which gives me 10grams of fiber for breakfast alone! But, that’s not to say the oil isn’t great…the oil can be used in place of butter on top of your favorite cereal or pancakes as an added health bonus. I like to add the meal to recipes for added fiber, and love the nutty taste it adds to muffins. The Average American eats only 10-15 grams per day.
