What health and safety standards are maintained?
In Girl Scouting, safety is always first, especially at camp. Camp staff works closely with local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and the US Forest Service to assure camper safety. Weather alerts are monitored. Camp staff is certified in a minimum of first aid and CPR. A doctor and hospital are on-call if illness or injury requires additional medical attention. Parents or guardians will be notified of any emergency.
